You know the science is pretty strong, but it doesnβt sound exciting enough to get you off the couch, your trusty friend thatβs been supporting you, when itβs all become too much. β
The lifestyle factors info sheet the doctor gave you, gives you knowledge but doesnβt make it any easier to implement. β β
Over a decade ago I was also struggling to conceive. β At the same time, I worked at a leading reproductive research institute over at Monash. β
Honestly, I didn't understand why I was in this situation. β
I had all the information staring at me during seminars, in research papers, and in my wellness post-grad studies. β I knew how sex hormones are regulated, what stress does to the body, and how it throws hormones out of balance. β
But apparently reading and knowing about them wasn't enough.Β Who knew?!
Like you, I understood there was a link between my health and my fertility, and that wellness practices had more to offer, but I found it hard to get motivated to keep up with yoga and healthy habits because I was feeling overwhelmed and disheartened from the path Iβd been walking. β
I knew I really wanted to get pregnant naturally, and that we need more than the supplements weβd been prescribed. β
I decided to bring my two worlds together and I turned to wellness practices to help reduce my stress and to reset and balance my hormones. β
It worked. Finally, we got there!Β We were absolutely thrilled.Β I had a healthy pregnancy and a thriving baby boy just before I turned 38.
I didnβt find a magic pill, instead, I looked to naturally build my health and fertility in a manner that supplements, acupuncture, and IVF alone wonβt do. ββ
I took βlifestyle factorsβ and flipped them on their head. β β I looked at the science of what I was trying to achieve and found evidence-based practices that would support my health and fertility goals. ββ
